It’s Better When We Do It Together

Greetings EMBA Family!

My former Pastor prior to every church conference gathering stated these words, “There is a real opportunity here for great work, even though there are many opponents.”  At the time, I did not   completely grasp the full understanding those words, however over the years I have come to understand the wisdom of his words.  We live in a most challenging and confrontational time, yet it is an excellent opportunity for us to “work the works of Him that hath sent US while it is yet day, for night time is coming when no man (woman) can work.”  It will truly be a better blessing to “work together” with all of you in the EMBA family over the next 3 1/2 years!

As we continue to carry out the mandate of Acts 1:8, let us be reminded of the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 18:20-“For where two or three are gathered TOGETHER in my name, there am I in the midst of THEM.”  Truly “together we STAND, divided we will FALL!  Let us not “fall by the wayside” as so many are but rather let us continue to hold up the blood stain banner of the Lord, the EMBA Association, and one another!

Helen Keller wrote “Alone we can do so little but TOGETHER we can do so much.”  Paul writes in Hebrews 10:23-25-“Let US hold fast the profession of OUR faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;), And let US consider ONE ANOTHER to provoke to LOVE and GOOD WORKS; Not forsaking the assembling of OURSELVES TOGETHER, and so much more, as YE (YOU) see the DAY approaching.”

Since “no one knows the DAY nor the HOUR that He is coming back,” let US observe attentively to the words of the old spiritual.  Let US “be ready (watching and waiting TOGETHER) for when He comes again, He’s coming again so soon; don’t let him catch US with OUR works undone!”

Blessings and peace!
